Pousada Convento De Arraiolos

The room was modern and had everything I needed, plus a nice view. 🌟

In general all the personal experiences in Pousadas de Portugal have been very positive. Pousada de Arraiolos is located on the outskirts of the village, although very close. This, together with the fact that Arraiolos is a small village, makes the place a bubble of peace. old convent where it is located is surrounded by nature and has a privileged view. room we were given was small but very well equipped. very comfortable bed, beautiful marble bathroom and a window that framed a green landscape. swimming pool is great and breakfast is very good. church of the old convent is a marvel.

This pousada with respect to others of its chain, sins of lack of maintenance (painting, for example) and of cleanliness, not so much in the rooms, but in the common areas. Perhaps it also lacks a little more staff. It is a matter of adjusting this couple of things so that the accommodation can reach excellence. Still, the experience is very positive.

Everything was really good, the staff were courteous and the location was beautiful. Liked the great-sized and well-equipped room, and the wonderful view over the valley and the town of Arraiolos.

Booked a room with wonderful views overlooking the valley and the town, enjoyed a comfortable bed, and the room had climate control, a safe, and multi-channel television:)))

The convent is beautiful and peaceful.

The room was a bit degradated, the pool was full and didn't have enough chairs. There wasn't enough staff at breakfast and the tables were not clean and prepared. Food wasn't enough and took a long time to replace it. They had a programme for kids and when we went to see it, the babysitter was seated, didn´t say much and looked bored. We had a sandwich and it was really bad.... the orange juice wasn't natural at all!!! And we paid a lot!

Good restaurant, very friendly service, wonderful swimming pool, also the location. And facility ! Church as reception, Christ in the reception, large stylish courtyard, wonderful. rural environment

it's great-sized with big size bathrooms.

arrived at the pousada after a previous stay in arraiolos and was pleasantly surprised. the location was great, with beautiful views of the surrounding area. the property was calm and peaceful, with the sounds of sheep and birds creating a serene atmosphere. exceeded expectations.

Heating didn't work in one room.

The Pousada is situated in a beatiful location.The staff were very welcoming and the cleanliness of all public rooms and bedroom was of a very high standard.My wife and I will return to this relaxing retreat.

On the negative side we felt the restaurant was over priced for the quality of food.

It was a perfect stay on holidays. The rooms of our place were reasonably large and spotless with a view. The location was peaceful and the staff was pleasant during the whole stay! Truly enjoyed our time here.

Courteous staff, beautiful property and gardens, outstanding breakfast. Room with a stunning view and a wonderful restoration. Peaceful location, ideal for exploring the Alentejo region. Indoor and outdoor pools, good wine selection in the restaurant.

Our second visit (the first in 1999) We returned for the ambiance, the tranquil, scenic setting, the successful conversion of an historic, attractive building into a stunning, modern guest hotel. The breakfasts were bountiful and excellent, as before.. the weather was perfect

The dining food service was disastrous, inattentive, over-priced. During lunch on the day of our arrival we were the only four guests. We waited 90 minutes for our food. Two entrees (pasta) were inedible (probably forgotten in the kitchen).We were given credit on our bill. a third entree: four spears of (burned)asparagus and three filled mushrooms was over-priced at Euro 13.50 Likewise a couvert charge of Euro 4.90 each was excessive.We canceled previously made dinner reservations, and went to the village.

It was a well-maintained and pretty standard hotel in a very relaxing area. Had a well-equipped and new-fashioned room with a lovely balcony. - Professional therapists offering massages, for instance. - the location was stunning and beautiful. - Tapetes de Arraiolos was a 10-15 minute walking distance from the property.
